Informations about the Image-In demo version - 22 may 1990

Scanner supported
-----------------
This demonstration version supports the following scanners:
- Datacopy 730GS
- Microtek MS-200A, MS-300A, MS-300C, MSF-300C, MSF-300A,
MSF-300Q, MSF-300G and MSF-400G
- Ricoh RS-311, IS-30, RS-300S, SS-30, RS-322 and IS-11
The installation of each scanner model is explained in this file.
The standard Image-In product supports the following additional scanners:
- Canon IX-12, IX-12F and IX-30F
- Hewlett-Packard Scanjet and Scanjet+
- Logitech ScanMan and ScanMan Plus.
- Panasonic FX-RS505, FX-RS-506 and FX-RS-507
Installation
------------
No Setup program is provided in this demonstration version.
To install Image-In just copy all the files in a directory
of your hard disk then start IMAGEIN.EXE from Windows.
Installing Windows/286 2.xx for gray-scale image display
--------------------------------------------------------
A gray-scale mode VGA display driver is supplied on this diskette.
To install Windows with this driver:
o Start the Windows Setup program.
o In the display selection menu, choose 'Others...'
o Insert the Image-Paint diskette.
o Select 'VGA in gray scale mode'.
o Continue the standard Windows installation.
This does not work for Windows/386 2.xx.
Installing the Datacopy 730GS Scanner
-------------------------------------
The first time you are using the scanner, you must select the
interface i/o address. Select "Scan" from the Image-In
menu, then select the "Hardware setup" command of the "Others" menu.
Installing the Microtek Scanners
--------------------------------
To select the scanner model and setup interface card i/o address,
select "Scan" from the Image-In menu. If it is the first time you run
Image-In, the hardware setup dialog is displayed automatically.
Otherwise, select the "Hardware setup" command of the "Others" menu.
Installing the Ricoh Scanners
-----------------------------
The first time you are using the scanner, you must select the Ricoh
model and interface i/o address. Select "Scan" from the Image-In
menu, then select the "Hardware setup" command of the "Others" menu.
Image-In temporary files
------------------------
Image-In creates a temporary file when it loads or scans an image.
This file can be as large as 1 MegaByte for a 300 dpi full-page
image. This file is created in the same drive/directory as the
other Windows temporary files. If there is not enough disk space
for the temporary file, you can select another drive by setting
the TEMP environment variable. To do this, put a line in your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file as follows:
SET TEMP=d:\pathname
