  8. This demonstration version supports the following scanners:

  10. - Datacopy 730GS
  11. - Microtek  MS-200A,  MS-300A,  MS-300C, MSF-300C,  MSF-300A,
  12.             MSF-300Q, MSF-300G and MSF-400G
  13. - Ricoh RS-311, IS-30, RS-300S, SS-30, RS-322 and IS-11
  14.  
  15. The installation of each scanner model is explained in this file.

  17. The standard Image-In product supports the following additional scanners:

  19. - Canon IX-12, IX-12F and IX-30F
  20. - Hewlett-Packard  Scanjet and Scanjet+
  21. - Logitech ScanMan and ScanMan Plus.
  22. - Panasonic FX-RS505, FX-RS-506 and FX-RS-507

  28. No Setup program is provided in this demonstration version.
  29. To install Image-In just copy all the files in a directory
  30. of your hard disk then start IMAGEIN.EXE from Windows.

  34. Installing Windows/286 2.xx for gray-scale image display
  35. --------------------------------------------------------

  37. A gray-scale mode VGA display driver is supplied on this diskette.
  38. To install Windows with this driver:
  39.  
  40.   o  Start the Windows Setup program.
  41.  
  42.   o  In the display selection menu, choose 'Others...'
  43.  
  44.   o  Insert the Image-Paint diskette.
  45.  
  46.   o  Select 'VGA in gray scale mode'.

  48.   o  Continue the standard Windows installation.

  50. This does not work for Windows/386 2.xx.

  53. Installing the Datacopy 730GS Scanner

  56.   The first time you are using the scanner, you must select the 
  57.   interface i/o address. Select "Scan" from the Image-In
  58.   menu, then select the "Hardware setup" command of the "Others" menu.

  60. Installing the Microtek Scanners

  64.   To select  the scanner  model and  setup interface  card i/o  address,
  65.   select "Scan"  from the Image-In menu. If it is the first time you run
  66.   Image-In,  the  hardware  setup  dialog  is  displayed  automatically.
  67.   Otherwise, select the "Hardware setup" command of the "Others" menu.

  70. Installing the Ricoh Scanners

  73.   The first time you are using the scanner, you must select the Ricoh
  74.   model and interface i/o address. Select "Scan" from the Image-In
  75.   menu, then select the "Hardware setup" command of the "Others" menu.

  79. Image-In temporary files
  80. ------------------------
  81.  
  82. Image-In creates a temporary file when it loads or scans an image.
  83. This file can be as large as 1 MegaByte for a 300 dpi full-page
  84. image. This file is created in the same drive/directory as the
  85. other Windows temporary files. If there is not enough disk space
  86. for the temporary file, you can select another drive by setting
  87. the TEMP environment variable. To do this, put a line in your
  88. AUTOEXEC.BAT file as follows:
